![]() ![]() Thanks for the question, I totally understand where your coming from. So my question is, "How do individual developers do this without taking out a bank loan?". But before doing that, I decided to log in to this forum to get some feedback from developers who have gone down this path before. So now I am back to considering using Windows 10 S mode on an extra laptop that I have laying around my office somewhere. Now, I don't want another rude surprise invoice from Microsoft, so I deleted that vm. ![]() ![]() So I enabled Hyper-V and created a vm with a trial version of Windows Enterprise edition. Then I read somewhere that I can enable a computer in Windows 10 S mode and run my app on that computer to test if it is compatible with the Store.īut before doing that, I discovered Hyper-V. I have disabled my Azure subscription (you can't delete it) with the hopes that disabling it will stop the bleeding of money. I created the vm, with nothing running on it, and then was rewarded with an invoice for over $100 with a promise from Microsoft that I was going to receive more invoices. Big mistake! I thought the vm was part of the freebies included with the account. My development environment is on a single Windows 10 Pro machine with a wifi internet connection and Visual Studio Community Edition.Īt first, I thought I needed an Azure account with a virtual machine created to run Window 10 S. I find the whole process to be confusing. I have read about preparing my app prior to packaging. I have a WPF application that I want to put on Microsoft Store, and I am trying to navigate my way through the MS requirements including packaging. Sorry if this was really a useless question, I appreciate any help I just really have the hankerin to play a lot of games.I am an independent developer and a complete noob to MSIX. Is disc swapping really the only option? Is there no other way to install mcboot? Ive got some other games with the right file type for installing mcboot, but they mostly use it for network play which would require, again, the network adapter. Unless maybe there were some way into tricking my console into thinking i do have it? I have a copy of socom 3 that i've heard can be used to install the exploit, but in order to boot to the nessecary menu, you have to have the ps2 network adapter, again I dont have it. ![]() Are there any other known games to install free mcboot with? So what other methods of installing free mcboot are there? I unfortunately dont have the ps2 network adapter or a pata drive. Ok, theres probably no solution for this, but I don't have a copy of agent under fire on hand and while it is really cheap to order a copy off of ebay, it would probably take me awhile to do so since im moving around at the moment. ![]()
